Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Two balls for the football team
  • Three balls for the handball team
  • Extra balls for fast restarts
  • Markers or cones
Setup
  1. Area: 30x30 yard area marked with cones
  2. Team Red: 5 red outfield players (footballers) spaced evenly throughout the centre of the area
  3. Team Blue: 7 blue outfield players (handballers) positioned in a circle around the footballers, just inside the area boundary
  4. Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 30x30 yard area, 2 balls given to Team Red, 3 balls given to Team Blue, extra balls scattered around the area for quick restarts
Instructions
  1. Footballers dribble and pass their balls within their team.
  2. Handballers aim to hit the footballs by throwing their balls.
  3. Each hit on a footballer's ball scores a point for the handball team.
  4. Play three-minute rounds, resting for two minutes in between.
  5. The team with the fewest points at the end of all rounds wins.
  6. Rotate roles to ensure equal practice for all players.
Coaching Points

  • Monitor player performance and engagement
  • Emphasize accurate passing and receiving
  • Keep players moving fluidly and positioned ready for play

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area.
2. Decrease the number of balls available for the football team.

1. Increase the size of the playing area.
2. Increase the number of balls available for the football team.
3. Allow football players to momentarily hold the ball if necessary.
