Equipment
  • Cones
  • Balls
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Team Red: 1 red outfield player starts inside the playing area
  3. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starts inside the playing area
  4. Neutral: 1 black wall player positioned around the perimeter of the area
  5. Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area
Instructions
  1. Two inside teams compete to maintain possession.
  2. Use the wall players for passes.
  3. A maximum of three touches per player.
  4. Rotate teams, swapping roles after set time.
Coaching Points
  • Effective communication among players.
  • Create good angles and distances for support.
  • Quality first touch away from pressure.
  • Keep head up to scan options.
  • Accurate and timely passing with the right technique.
  • Opt for forward passes when possible.
  • Adjust first touch to change angles and create space.
  • Offer movement to receive and keep possession.
  • Use the furthest foot when receiving to open up play.
  • Maintain an open stance for multiple passing options.
  • Move to create and utilize space effectively.
  • Ensure continuous ball movement.
  • Form triangles and diamonds for strong support structure.
  • Stay aware of passing options and priorities.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Limit touches to two per player.
2. Decrease the playing area to 15x15 yards.
3. Increase speed of play by reducing time allowed on the ball.
Make it easier:
1. Allow unlimited touches initially.
2. Expand the playing area to 25x25 yards.
3. Use neutral players instead of wall players to support both teams.
