Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the area and goals
  • Balls for gameplay and cone targets
  • Small goals or markers
Setup
  1. Area: 30x35 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
  3. Team Red: 1 red outfield player starts spaced evenly across their own half of the area
  4. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starts spaced evenly across their own half of the area
  5. Equipment: Cones marking the corners of the 30x35 area, one small goal on each end line, one cone placed directly in front of each goal with a ball balanced on top of it.
Instructions
  1. Teams play against each other using regular football rules.
  2. Score by passing the ball into the opponent's goal.
  3. If a ball hits the ball on the cone, the opposing team earns a point.
  4. Emphasize accurate and strategic final passes to achieve scoring objectives.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain effective communication on the field
  • Create good angles and distances for support
  • Keep your head up to assess passing options
  • Use purposeful forward passes when viable
  • Enhance pass quality with accuracy and timing
  • Select appropriate passing techniques
  • React quickly to provide support

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to increase pressure.
2. Allow only two touches per player before passing.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area to provide more space.
2. Allow additional touches before passing for beginner players.
