Equipment
  • Goal
  • Pole
  • Balls
  • Goalkeeper
Setup
  1. Area: 18-yard box area with edge marked by a pole
  2. Goals: One goal with a goalkeeper at one end
  3. Group: 2 outfield players, one positioned beside the goal holding a ball and one positioned on the 18-yard line
  4. Group GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line
  5. Equipment: 1 pole positioned at the edge of the 18-yard box, balls held by the player in the line beside the goal
Instructions
  1. The player next to the goal passes to the player on the 18-yard line, ensuring the pass is on the side of the pole away from the goal.
  2. The receiving player takes the first touch across their body and the pole.
  3. Player attempts to whip the ball into the far side of the goal.
  4. Rotate players and repeat the sequence.
Coaching Points
  • Prioritize accuracy over power in shots.
  • Be decisive and confident in actions.
  • Apply appropriate striking technique.
  • Ensure good first touch control.
  • Maintain an open body position when receiving.
  • Keep your head up to assess options.
  • Move effectively to receive the pass.
  • Focus on the quality of the final touch and finish.
  • Aim to shoot across the goalkeeper.
  • Select the right shooting option based on the situation.
  • Use feints to create better shooting opportunities.
  • Always aim to hit the target with your shots.
  • Analyze from different angles; pause play for coaching insights.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Add a defender to pressure the shooter.
2. Increase the distance of the initial pass.
3. Reduce the size of the goal area.
Make it easier:
1. Remove the pole to simplify first touch.
2. Allow receiving player additional touches before shooting.
3. Use a larger goalpost for easier scoring.
