Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the main and corner squares
  • One ball per game (though initially only one player starts with a ball)
  • Bibs or pinnies to differentiate players if needed
Setup
  1. Area: 15x15 yard area marked with cones, with a 2x2 yard square marked in each corner
  2. Group: 4 red players, one positioned in each corner square, with one of the four starting in possession of the ball
  3. Equipment: cones marking the outer 15x15 yard square and cones marking a 2x2 yard square in each of the four corners
Instructions
  1. The player with the ball dribbles to any opponent's corner square.
  2. On reaching the square, they stop the ball and tag the opponent.
  3. Both players race around the outside of the area to return to the starting point.
  4. The first player back collects the ball and becomes the next challenger.
  5. Continue the sequence with each player having a turn as the challenger.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage clear communication between players.
  • Promote gradual increase in intensity during the activity.
  • Ensure players frequently hydrate to maintain performance.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the size of the playing area to 20x20 meters.
2. Add an additional player with a ball to increase decision-making speed.
Make it easier:
1. Reduce the playing area to 10x10 meters.
2. Allow players to rest for 30 seconds between each round.
