Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the area
  • Four 1-yard wide goals
  • Multiple balls for quick restarts
Setup
  1. Area: 30x30 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One 1-yard wide goal centred on each of the four sides of the area
  3. Group: 8 outfield players divided into four teams of 2, each team starting on one side of the area facing their own goal
  4. Equipment: Cones marking the corners and sides of the 30x30 yard area, multiple balls stored just outside the area for quick restarts
Instructions
  1. Begin with one ball; teams aim to score in any goal.
  2. Players must pass to a teammate before shooting.
  3. If the ball exits or a goal is scored, the nearest opponent restarts with a new ball.
Coaching Points
  • Effective communication
  • Maintain good support angles and distances
  • Make early decisions on and off the ball
  • Ensure a good first touch and keep your head up
  • Quality passing with accuracy, timing, and disguise
  • Quick support for teammates
  • Avoid forcing passes; encourage combination play with minimal touches
  • Control and protect the ball to retain possession
  • Keep the ball moving with appropriate pass speed
  • Be aware of defenders' positions
  • Use teamwork and communication to identify improvements
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area.
2. Limit the number of touches allowed.
3. Increase the speed of play requirement.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the playing area.
2. Allow unlimited touches.
3. Assign two goals per team for more scoring opportunities.
