Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • One ball per player
  • Multiple cones for grid setup
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard grid marked with cones, adjusted based on number of players
  2. Group: 1 player starts inside the grid at their own point, each with a ball
  3. Equipment: 1 ball per player, multiple cones scattered randomly throughout the grid
Instructions
  1. Players dribble the ball within the grid.
  2. Upon reaching a cone, they dribble a full circle around it and continue.
  3. Encourage increasing speed as confidence grows.
  4. Maintain a fun, engaging environment to develop control and coordination.
Coaching Points
  • Offer regular encouragement to boost confidence.
  • Maintain awareness of both cones and space.
  • Utilize different foot parts for smooth control.
  • Emphasize close control when circling.
  • Facilitate gradual speed increase as skills improve.
  • Ensure all players remain actively participating.
  • Create an enjoyable atmosphere to keep players motivated.
  • Allow natural learning with minimal intervention, encouraging trial and error.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce grid size to increase difficulty.
2. Introduce timing for completing circles around cones.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the grid size for more space.
2. Reduce the number of cones inside the grid for fewer obstacles.
