Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Balls (one for every two players)
  • Cones for marking the area
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 2 players, 1 starting with a ball and 1 without, positioned randomly within the area
  3. Equipment: 1 ball, cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area
Instructions
  1. Players with the ball pass it by hand to any other player while ensuring it does not touch the ground.
  2. Encourage all players to move continuously and seek open spaces.
  3. Players should communicate by calling for the ball.
  4. Emphasize accuracy in passes to avoid dropped balls.
Coaching Points
  • Promote continuous player movement and space-finding.
  • Encourage players to maintain close control and accuracy in passing.
  • Foster effective communication by having players call for the ball.
  • Optimize engagement by ensuring the drill is enjoyable.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the playing area to 25x25 yards or adapt based on the number of players.
2. Introduce a limited number of designated interceptors who try to disrupt passes.
Make it easier:
1. Reduce the playing area to 15x15 yards to simplify movement.
2. Allow players to use their hands instead of feet to facilitate better control.
