Setup
- Area: 40x30 yard area marked with cones
- Goals: One goal centred on each end line of the area
- Team Red: 4 red outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
- Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the red team's goal
- Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
- Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the blue team's goal
- Neutral: 4 black neutral players — 2 target players positioned one near each end line, and 2 wingers positioned out wide on each side of the area
- Equipment: Cones marking the four corners of the 40x30 yard area, plus balls used for aerial passing
Instructions
- Players aim to pass to target players by playing the ball in the air.
- Only after target players receive an aerial pass can a goal be attempted.
- Wingers and target players always play for the team in possession.
- Encourage continuous movement to open space and support the player with the ball.
- Allow 1-minute sessions to observe and provide feedback.
- If necessary, restart play to achieve specific coaching objectives.

- Communicate effectively with teammates.
- Select the most appropriate pass.
- Keep head up to read the game.
- Maintain ball movement into open spaces.
- Vary passes to avoid predictability.
- Use correct body position to receive aerial balls.
- Work effectively as a unit.

- Refine technique for aerial ball control.
- Recognize priorities in passing situations.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to increase pressure.
2. Limit touches to increase speed of play.
Make it easier:
1. Allow scoring from ground passes.
2. Increase the size of the playing area to provide more space.
3. Remove wingers to simplify play.
