Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • - 2 Goals (one per end)
  • - Cones/Markers (for field boundaries)
  • - Balls
Setup
  1. Area: 25x25 yard grid split by a halfway line
  2. Goals: One goal on each end line, centred
  3. Team Red: 3 red outfield players start spaced across their own half, with one wide player positioned on each touchline
  4. Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the red team's goal
  5. Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players start spaced across their own half, with one wide player positioned on each touchline
  6. Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the blue team's goal
  7. Equipment: Cones/markers positioned at the four corners of the 25x25 grid to mark the boundaries, plus 2 goals on the end lines and balls for the goalkeepers to start play.
Instructions
  1. Players pass and move in their half, using wide players for crosses.
  2. Attackers must time runs and finish crosses delivered from wide areas.
  3. Swap positions frequently to ensure all players experience different roles.
  4. When a goal is scored, the scoring team retains possession, starting from their goalkeeper.
  5. Emphasize quick play and effective use of wide areas.
Coaching Points

  • Focus on quality first touches and keeping head up.
  • Deliver precise passes and finishes.
  • Utilize both feet and adapt to unfold the play.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase playing area size to enhance fitness.
2. Restrict touches to two per player to encourage faster play.
3. Add additional defensive players to increase pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease playing area size to simplify decision-making.
2. Allow unlimited touches for more control.
3. Reduce the number of defenders to create more space.
