Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones (or markers) to define the playing area
  • One ball per group
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard square marked with cones
  2. Group: 4 players numbered 1 to 4, spaced out at random positions within the square, each not too close to another
  3. Equipment: cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard square, one ball given to player number 1 of the group
Instructions
  1. Player 1 begins by passing the ball to player 2, calling out their own number to signal the pass.
  2. Player 2 receives the ball, controls it, and calls their number before passing to player 3.
  3. This sequence continues with players calling out their number before each pass.
  4. Encourage players to use good angles, maintain their movement, and communicate effectively throughout the drill.
  5. Ensure players are quick in their decisions and keep the ball moving at all times.
Coaching Points

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area to increase difficulty.
2. Limit touch count to two per player.
3. Introduce an additional ball to increase decision-making complexity.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area to give players more time and space.
2. Allow unlimited touches initially to build confidence.
