Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for play area boundaries and inside markers
  • One ball for each player
Setup
  1. Area: 25x25 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 1 player starts inside the area with a ball
  3. Equipment: Cones marking the 25x25 yard boundary, plus several additional cones scattered randomly inside the area approximately 5 yards apart as turning markers, one ball per player
Instructions
  1. Players dribble towards any cone.
  2. Upon reaching a cone, perform a 360-degree turn around it using close ball control.
  3. Accelerate away from the cone, maintaining head up.
  4. Use both feet to dribble and control the turn.
  5. Repeat with different cones, varying speed and direction.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain close control of the ball.
  • Keep head up to scan surroundings.
  • Use both feet for dribbling and turning.
  • Accelerate sharply after each turn.
  • Bend knees for better agility.
  • Display a positive, confident attitude.
  • Encourage player creativity and decision making.
  • Develop fluency through practice.
  • Integrate turns to shield ball from imaginary defenders.
  • Focus on mastering dribbling techniques.
  • Adapt speed based on skill proficiency.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Decrease cone distance for tighter turns.
2. Introduce passive defenders around cones.
Make it easier:
1. Increase cone distance for easier maneuvering.
2. Allow extra time for turns.
