Equipment
  • Goal
  • Balls
Setup
  1. Area: 18-yard box
  2. Goals: One large goal on the goal line, centred
  3. Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned in the centre of the goal
  4. Neutral: 3 black servers positioned inside the 18-yard box, each with a supply of balls
  5. Equipment: Goal, balls
Instructions
  1. One server shoots at a time towards the goal.
  2. Goalkeeper uses appropriate techniques to save or deflect the shot.
  3. If parried, GK must control the rebound or ensure the ball goes out of play.
  4. Rotate servers for continuous action, maintaining intensity.
Coaching Points
  • Use proper shot-stopping technique
  • Maintain a good set position
  • Clear command of the six-yard box
  • Awareness of goalpost locations
  • Anticipate shots and react quickly
  • Prep hands before contacting the ball
  • Judge ball flight and pace
  • Stay light on feet and glide to ready position
  • Focus and stay organized
  • High-speed and high-intensity actions with quality execution
  • Ensure adequate rest between sets
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase shot speed from servers.
2. Reduce GK rest time between saves.
Make it easier:
1. Allow GK to start closer to the shooter.
2. Decrease shot speed from servers.
3. Increase rest time between saves.
