Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones
  • 2 small goals
Setup
  1. Area: 40x30 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
  3. Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across their attacking half of the area
  4. Team Red: 3 red outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half, in front of their goal
  5. Neutral: 3 black neutral players waiting on the sideline outside the area, ready to rotate in
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the corners and halfway line of the 40x30 yard area, 2 small goals positioned centrally on each end line
Instructions
  1. Attacking team aims to score by dribbling through the defense's goal.
  2. Defenders counter-attack when they regain possession.
  3. Teams rotate after each play or set time interval.
  4. The resting team studies play to prepare for their turn.
Coaching Points
  • Ensure strong support via proper angles and distances.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates.
  • Quickly make effective decisions.
  • Use a quality first touch to set up the next move.
  • Maintain head up to stay aware.
  • Adjust speed and positioning based on defenders.
  • Change tempo as required by the play.
  • Apply 1v1 defending techniques.
  • Push the ball forward accurately when possible.
  • Offer width and depth in offensive plays.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Restrict the number of touches per player.
2. Reduce field size to heighten pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Add an extra player from the resting team to create 4v3.
2. Enlarge the goals to facilitate scoring.
