Setup
- Area: 30x20 yard area marked with cones
- Goals: One goal or gate centred on each end line
- Team Red: 3 red outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
- Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half
- Equipment: Cones marking the corners and halfway line of the area, one goal or gate at each end line
Instructions
- Play standard football rules within the designated area.
- For a goal to be counted, ensure all team members are in the attacking half before the goal is scored.
- If the condition is not met, resume play without awarding a goal.
Coaching Points
- Ensure effective communication.
- Maintain good angles and distances of support.
- Encourage early decision-making on and off the ball.
- Focus on a quality first touch.
- Keep your head up to improve awareness.
- Instill a positive attitude toward scoring.
- Move swiftly to provide support.
- Use correct passing and receiving techniques.
- Understand and create space.
- Improve teamwork in offensive play.
- Maintain constant movement to show for the ball.
- Evaluate passing options for effectiveness.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to 25x15 to increase difficulty.
2. Add a rule that goals must be scored within a time limit after entering the attacking half.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the playing area to 35x25 for more space.
2. Allow goals to count without all players in the attacking half initially.
