Setup
- Area: 30x30 yard square area marked with cones
- Group: 4 players positioned in a square formation 10 yards apart, one at each corner; Players 1 and 2 at opposite corners start with a ball, Players 3 and 4 at the other two corners start without a ball
- Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 30x30 yard area, 2 balls placed with Players 1 and 2
Instructions
- Players 3 and 4 simultaneously pass the ball to Players 1 and 2.
- On receiving, Players 1 and 2 execute a quick turn and head towards each other.
- Players 1 and 2 attempt to cross paths in the center while keeping control of the ball.
- Players 3 and 4 apply light pressure as they move towards the center, then reset to restart the drill.
- Repeat the sequence, encouraging speed for realism.
Coaching Points
- Maintain close ball control.
- Decide the best moment and direction to dribble.
- Choose an effective end product: pass, shoot, dribble, or shield.
- Keep your head up for better awareness.
- Showcase a positive and confident attitude.
- Use correct technique tailored to the situation.

- Embrace creative moves like step-overs and feints.
- Include a variety of dribbling choices.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase pressure from Players 3 and 4.
2. Reduce the space to 25x25 yards.
3. Require turns to include a feint or trick.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the space to 35x35 yards.
2. Allow players more time to execute turns.
3. Reduce defensive pressure from Players 3 and 4.
