Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • 2 Soccer balls
  • 8 Cones or markers
Setup
  1. Area: 15x15 yard grid marked with cones
  2. Group: 3 players (Player 1 and Player 3 positioned on opposite sides of the grid perimeter each with a ball, Player 2 positioned on a third side of the perimeter without a ball)
  3. Neutral: 1 black wall player positioned centrally in the grid
  4. Equipment: 2 soccer balls, one at Player 1's position and one at Player 3's position; 8 cones or markers marking the corners and edges of the 15x15 yard grid
Instructions
  1. Player 1 passes to Player 2.
  2. Simultaneously, Player 3 performs a one-two with the wall player.
  3. Player 3 then passes to Player 1.
  4. Player 2 executes a one-two with the wall player.
  5. Continue the sequence, rotating the wall player regularly.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain good angles and distances for support.
  • Develop a good first touch.
  • Keep your head up to scan the field.
  • Ensure fluid movement and quick support.
  • Emphasize pass quality: accuracy, timing, and disguise.
  • Stay light on your feet for responsiveness.
  • Use both feet effectively.
  • Deliver fast, confident ground passes.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates.
  • Make correct decisions on pass type and timing.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the grid size to 12x12 yards.
2. Limit the number of touches allowed per player.
3. Introduce a passive defender to pressure the wall player.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the grid size to 18x18 yards.
2. Allow players unlimited touches.
3. Make the wall player stay static for easier one-twos.
