Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Soccer balls, one per player
  • Cones to mark the area and corners
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 1 black player starts dribbling randomly within the area
  3. Equipment: Cones marking the 20x20 yard area, with each of the 4 corner cones assigned a different country name, plus 1 soccer ball per player
Instructions
  1. Call out the name of a country.
  2. Players dribble to the corresponding corner as quickly as possible.
  3. Occasionally call multiple countries to challenge direction change.
  4. The last player to reach a corner receives a point.
  5. Upon reaching 3 points, perform an exercise like toe taps before rejoining.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage players consistently.
  • Focus on close ball control.
  • Develop spatial awareness in the playing area.
  • Ensure all players participate actively.
  • Maintain a fun and engaging environment.
  • Allow the game to teach; limit direct coaching.
  • Use various foot parts while dribbling.
  • Practice changing ball speed effectively.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the area to increase control challenge.
2. Add more country names to corners for variety.
3. Introduce a time limit to reach corners.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the playing area.
2. Call out countries in advance for preparation.
3. Allow more time for players to reach each corner.
