Equipment
- Mini goals
- Cones
- Balls
Setup
- Area: 20x20 yard area, adjusted based on player numbers
- Goals: Two mini goals positioned side by side on one side of the area
- Group: 2 black outfield players forming one pair, lined up at a cone on the side opposite the goals
- Equipment: 1 cone marking the pair's starting point opposite the goals, multiple balls placed in the center of the area
Instructions
- First player from each pair runs to the balls, collects one, dribbles, and shoots at a goal.
- After shooting, the player returns to their cone and the partner repeats the process.
- Continue until the time is up or all balls are used.
- Count the most goals scored.
Coaching Points
- Encourage constant participation and effort from players.
- Focus on ball control and spatial awareness.
- Use of different foot parts and kicking techniques.
- Ensure session is fun and age-appropriate.
- Prioritize enjoyment and learning through gameplay over instruction.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Require players to dribble around a cone before shooting.
2. Use non-dominant foot for dribbling and shooting.
3. Increase playing area and distance to goal.
Make it easier:
1. Reduce the distance between the cones and goals.
2. Allow players more time or extra touches before shooting.
3. Use larger goals for easier scoring.
