- Balls (one per player)
Setup
- Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
- Group: 1 player positioned with a ball in their own space within the area
- Equipment: Cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard practice area, 1 ball per player
Instructions
- Have players practice with a stationary ball to grasp technique.
- Increase speed as players become comfortable.
- Integrate other ball manipulation moves, encouraging quick changes or combination moves.
Coaching Points
- Maintain close ball control.
- Keep head up with occasional glances down.
- Focus on precise technique.
- Bend knees slightly and stay light on feet.
- Increase move fluency and speed gradually.
- Master individual techniques before combinations.
- Enhance balance, coordination, and ball feel.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce practice area size.
2. Add defenders to increase pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Expand practice area.
2. Allow players to walk through moves initially.
3. Focus only on the Brush move before introducing the Tap.
