Instructions
  1. Two teams play against each other, aiming to score as quickly as possible.
  2. After scoring, the player must touch the opposite goal before rejoining play.
  3. Switch floaters and playing teams regularly to maintain high tempo.
  4. Observe player workload and make sure they swap between inside and outside positions to manage recovery.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage quick and precise ball movement.
  • Focus on achieving a productive end result with each play.
  • Strive to overload the aerobic system by increasing intensity or play duration.
  • Avoid overtraining by monitoring player fatigue and recovery need.
  • Maintain flexibility in planning to allow for recovery and to adjust workloads.
  • Aim for sustained performance quality through strategic progressions.
  • Enhance muscle efficiency for football-specific movements over time.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the time for each game to boost endurance.
2. Reduce space by 5 yards to raise the game pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Allow more time for player recovery by extending breaks.
2. Offer a larger playing area to decrease game pressure.
