Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Balls
  • Small cones
Setup
  1. Area: 10-yard diameter circle marked with cones
  2. Group: 3 red outfield players spaced evenly around the circle's circumference, each starting with a ball at their feet
  3. Equipment: Small cones scattered randomly inside the circle, 3 balls one with each of the 3 starting players
Instructions
  1. Players with the ball dribble through the cones towards the circle center.
  2. They then dribble back out to an unoccupied player, passing the ball.
  3. The receiving player repeats the dribbling sequence to the center and back.
  4. Encourage players to try different dribbling techniques and turns.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain close control and small touches on the ball.
  • Keep your head up to observe your surroundings.
  • Use both feet and attempt various dribbling techniques.
  • Disguise moves and maintain a positive body language.
  • Accelerate after changing direction or completing a turn.
  • Focus on each touch's technique and execution.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the number of cones for tighter dribbling spaces.
2. Reduce the space within the circle, requiring quicker decisions.
3. Set a time limit for each dribbling sequence.
Make it easier:
1. Increase circle size for more room to maneuver.
2. Use fewer cones to simplify the dribbling path.
3. Allow players to slow down to focus on technique.
