Equipment
- 6 Markers for goals
- 1 Ball
Setup
- Area: Triangle-shaped area with 30-yard sides
- Goals: Three 5-yard goals, one marked at each corner of the triangle
- Team Red: 4 outfield players start positioned inside the triangle, spread to defend all three goals
- Team Blue: 4 outfield players start positioned inside the triangle, facing Team Red ready to attack any of the three goals
- Equipment: 6 markers used to form the triangle corners and mark the 5-yard goal at each corner, plus 1 ball
Instructions
- The attacking team must pass to a teammate behind a goal area.
- The receiving player then returns the pass through the same goal to score.
- Upon scoring, they must attack a different goal.
- Defenders aim to win possession and become attackers.
- Play continues as teams alternate between attack and defense.
Coaching Points
- Ensure clear communication among players.
- Focus on creating space to receive passes.
- Maintain good support angles and distances.
- Make early decisions, on and off the ball.
- Take a quality first touch.
- Keep your head up to observe options.
- Move the ball quickly into space.
- Pay attention to pass quality - accuracy, timing, disguise.
- Provide quick support to teammates.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the triangle.
2. Introduce a limited number of touches before passing.
3. Increase the number of defenders to create 4v5.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the triangle.
2. Allow unlimited touches before passing.
3. Add a neutral player to aid the attacking team.
