Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • 1 Soccer ball
  • 10 Cones for boundaries and zones
Setup
  1. Area: 16x16 yard area marked with cones, divided into four 8x8 yard zones
  2. Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players, one positioned in each of the four 8x8 zones
  3. Team Red: 4 red outfield players, 1 starting just outside the area with a ball ready to enter first, the other 3 waiting outside the area to enter progressively after every four completed passes
  4. Equipment: 10 cones marking the outer 16x16 yard boundary and the four internal 8x8 yard zone divisions, 1 soccer ball starting with the first defender outside the area
Instructions
  1. One defender enters to create a 4v1; the attackers must pass within their zones.
  2. After four successful passes, a second defender enters, forming a 4v2.
  3. Continue until a 4v4 is reached with each new defender after four passes.
  4. Rotate roles, and restart the sequence, or switch groups as decided by the coach.

2. Increase area to 20x20 yards for more space.
3. Allow players to switch zones for better support.
