Equipment
  • Balls
  • Markers for defining the 20x20 area
  • Twelve players
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with markers
  2. Group: 12 players spaced evenly across the area, jogging around the space
  3. Equipment: 4 balls introduced for dribbling and foot-passing among 4 players, plus 4 additional balls introduced after three minutes for hand-passing, 20x20 yard area marked with markers
Instructions
  1. Players start by jogging around the 20x20 area to warm up.
  2. Instruct four players to dribble and pass the four introduced balls with their feet, maintaining movement and activity.
  3. After three minutes, have players incorporate hand passes with the additional four balls, ensuring continuous movement and involvement.
  4. Players should focus on maintaining a high tempo and communicating effectively while passing by hand and foot.
Coaching Points
  • Ensure regular hydration breaks.
  • Start with gradual intensity, building up progressively.
  • Emphasize good passing and receiving technique.
  • Encourage effective communication throughout the drill.
  • Monitor players' first touch, movement, and body language.
  • Warm-ups should be energetic, fun, and relevant to the main session.
  • Ensure players are continuously active and focused.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to increase intensity and quick decision-making.
2. Increase the number of balls to six for foot dribbling and passing.
Make it easier:
1. Expand the playing area to allow more space for movement.
2. Reduce the number of balls in play to lower complexity.
