Equipment
- - 1 ball per player
- - 4 cones to mark the playing area
Setup
- Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
- Group: 1 black player starts with a ball spaced evenly across the area
- Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area, 1 ball per player placed inside the area
Instructions
- Players dribble their ball within the area using close control.
- On the coach's signal, players stop the ball with the sole of their foot.
- Players race to pick up another player’s stationary ball and place it on their head.
- Once all players have a ball again, they resume dribbling.
- Repeat the activity several times.
Coaching Points
- Encourage players consistently.
- Promote spatial awareness within the playing area.
- Emphasize close ball control.
- Ensure the session remains enjoyable.
- Adapt the activity to suit the players' age and skill level.
- Allow the game to teach skills through practice.
- Focus on using different parts of the foot.
- Teach moving the ball at varying speeds.
