Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • - 1 ball per player
  • - 4 cones to mark the playing area
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 1 black player starts with a ball spaced evenly across the area
  3. Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area, 1 ball per player placed inside the area
Instructions
  1. Players dribble their ball within the area using close control.
  2. On the coach's signal, players stop the ball with the sole of their foot.
  3. Players race to pick up another player’s stationary ball and place it on their head.
  4. Once all players have a ball again, they resume dribbling.
  5. Repeat the activity several times.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage players consistently.
  • Promote spatial awareness within the playing area.
  • Emphasize close ball control.
  • Ensure the session remains enjoyable.
  • Adapt the activity to suit the players' age and skill level.
  • Allow the game to teach skills through practice.
  • Focus on using different parts of the foot.
  • Teach moving the ball at varying speeds.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area size to increase difficulty.

2. Allow players to walk instead of running when fetching a ball.
