Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Soccer balls (one per player)
  • Cones
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 1 player starts inside the area, each with a ball at their feet
  3. Neutral: 1 black snake player starts inside the area without a ball
  4. Equipment: Soccer balls, one per player, cones marking the corners of the 20x20 yard area
Instructions
  1. Players dribble their ball within the area, avoiding the snake.
  2. The snake attempts to tag players while they dribble.
  3. Tagged players join the snake, continuing to dribble their ball while trying to tag others.
  4. The last untagged player wins.

  • Encourage players constantly.
  • Develop spatial awareness while dribbling.
  • Emphasize close ball control.
  • Foster enjoyment and engagement.
  • Focus on practice facilitation rather than direct coaching.
  • Use various foot parts for dribbling.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area to increase difficulty.
2. Allow the snake to tag players without a ball, increasing pursuit options.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area size to provide more space.
2. Allow players longer recovery times after being tagged before rejoining the dribble.
