Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • - Cones for boundaries
  • - Bibs to differentiate teams
  • - 1 soccer ball
Setup
  1. Area: Half-pitch area marked with cones
  2. Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half of the half-pitch area
  3. Team Red: 3 red outfield players start spaced evenly across their own half of the half-pitch area
  4. Equipment: Cones marking the boundaries of the half-pitch area, 1 soccer ball placed at the center of the half-pitch, bibs to differentiate the two teams
Instructions
  1. On the coach's signal, Team A initiates by circulating the ball to retain possession.
  2. Team B challenges by intercepting passes and causing turnovers.
  3. Players should move strategically to support the ball handler.
  4. If Team B captures the ball, they switch to possession while Team A applies pressure.
  5. Rotate teams every 5 minutes to ensure equal practice time.

  • Focus on swift transitions between attack and defense
  • Maintain team shape through proper positioning
  • Build spatial awareness and anticipation of opponent's actions

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to increase pressure.
2. Limit player touches to raise difficulty.
3. Introduce a neutral player for enhanced decision speed.
Make it easier:
1. Enlarge the playing area to allow more ball control time.
2. Allow unlimited touches for control focus.
3. Lower the number of defenders to reduce ball pressure.
