Instructions

Coaching Points
  • Use precise technique during the pass and shot.
  • Goalkeepers should stand big and remain calm in 1v1 scenarios.
  • Always be ready for a potential shot on goal.
  • Ensure arms are secure to control the ball and avoid injury.
  • Display confidence and quick reaction in 1v1 defensive situations.
  • Protect and cover all angles effectively.
  • Analyze the attacker’s approach and adjust positioning.
  • Communicate with teammates throughout the play.
  • Do not risk possession unnecessarily in game-like conditions.
  • Use correct body positioning and technique in 1v1 encounters.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the space for attackers to increase defensive pressure.
2. Position the starting point of the defender closer to the attacker.
3. Increase the speed and unpredictability of service from the coach.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the distance between the attacker and defender.
2. Allow the attacker an extra touch to control the ball.
3. Begin the defender from a more distanced starting position.
