Equipment
- Goal
- 2 Cones
- 1 Ball
Setup
- Area: Penalty area, with a corridor formed by two cones at the goal mouth
- Goals: One standard goal at the end of the corridor
- Group GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned between the two cones, facing away from the goal
- Coach: 1 grey coach positioned at the edge of the penalty area holding a ball
- Equipment: 1 goal, 2 cones placed one on each side of the goal to form a corridor, 1 ball with the coach
Instructions
- The coach passes the ball to the goalkeeper who is moving laterally toward one cone.
- The goalkeeper uses precise footwork to reach the ball and passes it back to the coach.
- Repeat the process for the other cone, ensuring alternate lateral movements.
- Encourage a quick transition between receiving and returning passes.
Coaching Points
- Utilize proper footwork technique when moving.
- Make early decisions to react swiftly.
- Deliver accurate passes with appropriate weight and timing.
- Approach the ball at a slight angle for balance.
- Stay light on feet, ready for incoming action.
- Ensure correct foot placement in all movements.
- Move into the line of the ball effectively.
- Quickly transition between receiving and distributing passes.
- Maintain lateral and backward movement for optimal body positioning.
- Stay on toes, ready to adjust quickly.
- Demonstrate consistently high-quality technique.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the distance between cones.
2. Speed up the pace of passes from the coach.
3. Use a smaller ball for increased difficulty.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease the distance between cones.
2. Slow down the pace of passes from the coach.
3. Allow multiple touches before returning the pass.
