Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Soccer balls (one per player)
  • Cones or markers (for area boundaries)
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 1 black player with a ball, spaced evenly with other players inside the area
  3. Coach: 1 grey coach positioned inside the area, moving between players to apply pressure
  4. Equipment: Cones or markers marking the four corners of the 20x20 yard area
Instructions
  1. Players dribble within the area using both feet.
  2. As the coach approaches, players execute a turn and continue dribbling.
  3. Encourage players to use different types of turns as they improve.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage player participation and enjoyment.
  • Focus on spatial awareness within the area.
  • Emphasize close ball control.
  • Use various parts of the foot for ball handling.
  • Adjust speed according to the situation.
  • Let games guide learning through play.
