Knock Off Dribble Challenge

Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Soccer balls (enough for each player)
  • Cones for marking area and placing balls
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Group: 2 black outfield players start inside the playing area, each with a ball
  3. Equipment: 4 cones marking the corners of the 20x20 area, additional cones placed along one side holding 1 ball (fewer balls than players)
Instructions
  1. Players dribble within the marked area, maintaining close control.
  2. On the coach's signal, players dribble towards the balls on cones.
  3. Players attempt to strike and knock off the balanced balls.
  4. Once all balls are attempted, reset them on cones.
  5. Continue the drill to encourage improvement.

Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area to increase difficulty.
2. Increase the distance between the players and the target balls.
3. Require players to use their non-dominant foot.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the number of balls on cones.
2. Enlarge the playing area for more space.
3. Allow players to stop the ball before striking.
