Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for area boundaries
  • Three balls, one per team
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Team Red: 2 red outfield players start spaced evenly across the area, tasked with two-touch passing
  3. Team Blue: 2 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across the area, tasked with one-touch passing
  4. Team Black: 2 black outfield players start spaced evenly across the area, tasked with dribble-before-passing
  5. Equipment: Cones marking the four corners of the 20x20 yard area, three balls with one assigned to each team
Instructions
  1. Teams move around the area, following their assigned task.
  2. Players execute their actions while being aware of other balls and teams.
  3. After a set time, rotate tasks between teams.
  4. Encourage quick movements and changes of direction after passing.
Coaching Points
  • Communicate effectively with teammates.
  • Maintain a good first touch.
  • Keep your head up to observe space and players.
  • Execute accurate, well-timed passes with disguise.
  • Receive the ball on the back foot to open body to the field.
  • Stay light and agile.
  • Support teammates with proper angles and distances.
  • Use both feet for passing and receiving.
  • Keep passes on the ground whenever possible.
  • Encourage active communication.
  • Focus on correct passing and receiving techniques.
  • Create space through intelligent movement.
  • Assess passing options quickly.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area size to increase pressure.
2. Designate a player to apply light pressure on the other teams.
3. Limit touches further for the dribbling team.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area size to reduce congestion.
2. Allow more touches for each team.
3. Remove dribbling requirement for one team.
