Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the playing area
  • 2 Small goals
  • Soccer balls
Setup
  1. Area: 30x35 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
  3. Team Red: 1 red outfield player starting on the halfway line, level with Team Blue
  4. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starting on the halfway line, level with Team Red
  5. Neutral: 1 black floater player positioned centrally within the area, free to move to support either team
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the four corners of the 30x35 yard area, soccer balls at the halfway line for kick-off
Instructions
  1. Start the game with one team having the ball.
  2. Teams must pass to the floater and get the ball back before scoring.
  3. Goals count only if scored with a first-time finish.
  4. Limit teams to six passes before they must attempt a shot.
  5. If the opposing team intercepts, the play must involve the floater again.
Coaching Points
  • Ensure active communication among players
  • Create space and offer good angles for passes
  • Make quick and smart decisions with and without the ball
  • Maintain a good first touch and keep head up
  • Execute passes with quality, using disguise when needed
  • Quickly provide support after passing
  • Stretch opponents laterally and longitudinally
  • Select effective pass direction and speed
  • Encourage players to scan and observe the pitch
  • Evaluate and refine passing and receiving techniques under pressure
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the number of allowed passes to four before shooting.
2. Assign a defender to actively pressure the floater.
3. Use a smaller playing area to limit space further.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the number of allowed passes to eight before shooting.
2. Remove the first-time finish requirement for goals.
3. Allow passes to go directly forward without involving the floater.
