Equipment
- Cones or markers
- Mini goals or 5-yard wide gates
- Goalkeepers

Setup
- Area: 25x30 yard area marked with cones.
- Goals: One 5-yard wide mini goal or gate centred on each end line.
- Team Red: 1 red outfield player starting in the central playing area, spaced evenly with any teammates.
- Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line at one end.
- Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starting in the central playing area, spaced evenly with any teammates.
- Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line at the opposite end.
- Neutral: 2 black Channel Players, one positioned in each 5-yard wide side channel running the length of the area, playing for both teams.
- Equipment: Cones marking the 25x30 yard area boundary, cones/poles forming a 5-yard wide gate at each end, and cones marking the two 5-yard wide channels along the sides.
Instructions
- Teams aim to pass the ball into the channels and utilize Channel Players.
- Channel Players cross the ball into the attacking zone.
- Teams score goals; headers or volleys from crosses count double.
- Rotate Channel Players regularly to engage different participants.
Coaching Points
- Encourage continuous communication among players.
- Ensure players find good support angles and distances.
- Promote quick decision-making on and off the ball.
- Teach players to keep their heads up.
- Motivate proactive movement and quick support.
- Focus on delivering accurate, timed, and disguised passes.
- Maintain control and protect the ball for effective possession.
- Support effective team play to create space.
- Stress the importance of observing and adapting quickly.
- Evaluate decision-making and striking execution.
- Foster awareness of passing options and effective choices.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Decrease the width of the channel to challenge crosses.
2. Limit the number of touches for each player.
3. Introduce a neutral player who can support both teams, adding complexity.
Make it easier:
1. Widen the channels to give players more space.
2. Allow defenders to enter channels, providing additional options.
3. Remove the double scoring rule to reduce pressure.
