Equipment
- Ball for each player
Setup
- Area: Open area with lines spaced evenly apart, sized to give each player room to juggle freely
- Group: 1 player starting with a ball in hand, positioned in a line formation with even spacing from others
- Equipment: 1 ball per player, no additional equipment required
Instructions
- For Juggling 1: Drop the ball onto the foot, use laces for contact, and catch it. Alternate feet.
- Juggling 2: Repeat the drop onto the thigh, alternate sides.
- Juggling 3: Drop onto thigh, juggle to foot, then hands. Alternate legs.
- Juggling 4: Alternate juggling with feet before catching.
- Juggling 5: Roll the ball inwards with the sole, flick up, then catch. Alternate feet.
- Juggling 6: As in 5, juggle to other foot before catching.
Coaching Points
- Develop close ball control
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Stay light on feet
- Keep a rhythm
- Bend knees slightly
- Relax on each touch
- Continuously practice juggling
- Introduce varied juggling combinations
- Improve balance and coordination
- Enhance ball manipulation skills
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase juggling height to challenge control.
2. Include additional juggling sequences before catching.
Make it easier:
1. Allow players to catch the ball more frequently.
2. Use a smaller, lighter ball to simplify control.
