Equipment
- Goals or tall cones for marking
- Soccer balls for play and spares
- Cones for area marking
Setup
- Area: 40x40 yard area marked with cones
- Goals: One goal (or tall cones) centred on each of the two end lines
- Team Red: 4 red outfield players start inside the area on one side, ready to play 4v4
- Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the red team's goal
- Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start inside the area on the opposite side, ready to play 4v4
- Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the blue team's goal
- Neutral: 4 black neutral players spaced evenly around the outside perimeter of the 40x40 area
- Equipment: Cones marking the corners and perimeter of the 40x40 area, plus spare soccer balls placed around the perimeter for quick restarts
Instructions
- Two teams play 4v4 inside the area, aiming to score in the opponent's goal.
- Attacking teams can pass to neutral players outside, restricted to two touches, to aid play.
- Neutral players can't score or be tackled as they are out of bounds.
- Switch roles of the teams after a goal is scored, ensuring all teams have turns at different roles.

- Effective communication among teammates.
- Maintain good angles and distances for support.
- Ensure a quality first touch.
- Keep your head up to assess options.
- Deliver accurate passes with appropriate timing and disguise.
- Opt for correct pass techniques and decision-making.
- Use intelligent movement to create space.
- Engage neutral players to shift play and maintain possession.
- Apply defensive pressure promptly to counterattack.
- Emphasize quick attacks when the opponent is unbalanced.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Limit the touches of the attacking team to increase difficulty.
2. Reduce the size of the playing area for more pressure on the ball handler.
Make it easier:
1. Allow neutral players to take more than two touches.
2. Expand the area to give players more space.
3. Allow attackers unlimited touches to encourage control.
