Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • 1 Ball
  • 1 Goal
Setup
  1. Area: Outside the 18-yard box (no fixed dimensions specified)
  2. Goals: One large goal at the end of the box
  3. Group: 3 blue outfield players positioned just outside the 18-yard box in a line, one furthest from goal starting with the ball, one in the middle, and one nearest the goal
  4. Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line
  5. Equipment: 1 ball starting with the player furthest from goal
Instructions
  1. The player furthest from goal passes to the middle player who feints receiving the ball.
  2. The middle player lets the ball pass to the player nearest the goal.
  3. The middle player spins to request a return pass from the receiving player.
  4. The middle player receives the ball and takes a shot at goal.
  5. Rotate roles and repeat the drill with speed.
Coaching Points
  • Prioritize accuracy over power.
  • Maintain positive body language and communication.
  • Employ a good first touch and keep your head up.
  • Focus on quality finishing and effective shooting technique.
  • Ensure communication among players.
  • Hit the target consistently using both feet.
  • Practice disguising the shot and striking with precision.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the speed of play.
2. Limit touches to increase difficulty.
Make it easier:
1. Allow more touches.
2. Reduce pass distance.
