Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for markings
  • Small goals
  • Bibs/Jerseys for teams and wingers
  • Footballs
Setup
  1. Area: 40x30 yard area marked with cones, with a 3-yard lane on each end
  2. Goals: One small goal on each side of the area
  3. Team Red: 4 red outfield players start in the central 4v4 area
  4. Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start in the central 4v4 area
  5. Neutral: 2 black neutral wingers, one positioned in each 3-yard wide lane
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the 40x30 yard area and the 3-yard lanes on each end, small goals positioned on each side
Instructions
  1. Start the play with a 4v4 match in the center.
  2. Players aim to pass to the neutral winger in the wide lane.
  3. Combine with neutral players to create attacking overloads.
  4. A goal counts only if a neutral winger is involved in the build-up.
  5. Encourage minimal touches and quick ball movement.
  6. Rotate neutral wingers periodically.

Make it harder:

1. Allow more touches on the ball.
2. Reduce the playing area for closer support.
3. Add more neutral players to simplify pass options.
