Instructions

  2. If successful, Team A continues against Team C.
  3. If the ball exits the area, Team B begins an attack against Team C.
  4. If defenders win possession, they must complete three consecutive passes before attacking.
Coaching Points
  • Communicate and concentrate effectively.
  • Maintain good body positioning, staying low and side on.
  • Close down the ball quickly and with patience.
  • Remain compact and aware of passing lanes.
  • Double-team the ball carrier when possible.
  • Coordinate effectively as a unit.
  • Focus on intercepting passes and jockeying.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the playing area to 30x20 yards.
2. Require defenders to complete five passes after winning the ball.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the playing area to 50x40 yards.
2. Allow attackers more time to control and pass the ball.
3. Reduce the number of passes defenders need to complete after possession to two.
