  4. Equipment: Disc cones marking the corners of the 5x10 yard rectangle, soccer balls with the coach
Instructions
  1. The coach rolls a ball towards the goalkeeper within the grid.
  2. The goalkeeper performs shuffling movements with hips facing the ball.
  3. The goalkeeper bends knees slightly, maintaining balance on the balls of the feet.

Coaching Points
  • Maintain hip alignment towards the coach.
  • Feet must not cross while shuffling.
  • Transition to ready position promptly.
  • Knees should be bent slightly, staying on balls of feet.
  • Keep hands prepared for action.
  • Maintain visual focus on the ball.
  • Incorporate adequate rest periods between repetitions.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Serve balls with a bounce before reaching the goalkeeper.
2. Aim balls at the goalkeeper's shins or knees.
Make it easier:
1. Roll balls slower and more centrally for easier collection.
2. Decrease the grid length to reduce movement demands.
