Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for boundary marking
  • Two small goals
  • Several soccer balls
Setup
  1. Area: 25x35 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each end line
  3. Team Red: 3 red outfield players spaced evenly across their own half of the area
  4. Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players spaced evenly across their own half of the area
  5. Neutral: 2 black bounce players, one stationed on each sideline outside the area
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the corners and boundary of the 25x35 yard area, one small goal positioned at the centre of each end line
Instructions
  1. Teams attempt to score in the opposing goal.
  2. Before scoring, teams must complete a 1-2 pass with any bounce player.
  3. Bounce players move along their sideline to support play but remain outside the field.
  4. Rotate bounce players regularly to alternate roles.
Coaching Points
  • Ensure strong communication among players.
  • Maintain optimal angles and distances for support.
  • Control the ball with a quality first touch.
  • Keep your head up for better field vision.
  • Pass accurately and with the right timing and disguise.
  • Select the appropriate passing technique for the situation.
  • Move intelligently to offer passing options.
  • Stay open to provide two passing options at all times.
  • Form diamonds and triangles for strategic support.
  • Execute fast, confident passes.
  • Finish quickly when close to the goal.
  • Utilize neutral players to shift play and create space.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Narrow the playing area to increase difficulty of passing.
2. Limit touches to two per player to encourage faster play.
3. Require teams to use both bounce players before scoring.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the playing area for more space.
2. Allow bounce players to touch the ball multiple times.
3. Remove the requirement to use bounce players before scoring.
