Setup
- Area: 30x30 yard area marked with cones, with a 5-yard end zone marked at each end.
- Team Red: 1 red outfield player starts with a ball inside the playing area, defending the end zone at one end and attacking the end zone at the opposite end.
- Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starts with a ball inside the playing area, defending the end zone at one end and attacking the end zone at the opposite end.
- Equipment: Cones marking the corners of the 30x30 yard area, plus additional cones marking the 5-yard end zone line at each end, and 1 ball per player.
Instructions
- Teams try to dribble the ball into the opponent's end zone and stop it under control to score a point.
- Once a team scores, they switch directions and attack the opposite end zone.
- No defenders are allowed in the end zone.
Coaching Points
- Maintain close ball control and use both feet.
- Communicate effectively with teammates.
- Decide quickly on when to dribble or pass.
- Use deception to beat opponents and create attacking opportunities.
- Support teammates by providing passing options.
- Attack space with urgency and confidence.
- Practice varied dribbling techniques to enhance fluency.
- Adjust angles and distances appropriately to maintain support.
- Focus on the quality of technique to outmaneuver defenders.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the size of the playing area.
2. Allow one defender into the end zone.
3. Increase the pace by limiting the time to score.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the size of the playing area.
2. Add extra players to each team for more support.
3. Restrict defensive pressure outside the end zones.
