Equipment
  • Balls
Setup
  1. Area: Open space, pairs spaced 5-10 meters apart
  2. Group: 2 players per pair, standing 5-10 meters apart facing each other, one holding the ball at shoulder height
  3. Equipment: 1 ball per pair
Instructions
  1. The player with the ball drops it at various distances and angles.
  2. The receiving player explosively moves forward to catch or control the ball before the second bounce.
  3. Repeat, switching roles frequently after several repetitions.
  4. Allow rest periods between sets to maintain intensity.
Coaching Points
  • Use arms actively while running.
  • Focus on explosive and quick movements.
  • Keep head up with eyes on the ball.
  • Remain light on feet and agile.
  • Use arms and legs to generate power and speed.
  • Perform movements with maximum effort and intensity.
  • Encourage quick change of direction and acceleration.
  • Maintain relaxation and focus for optimal performance.
  • Develop the ability for short bursts of power with recovery.
  • Improve reaction speed and sharpness.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the distance between players.
2. Vary the height and speed of the ball drop.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease the distance between players.
2. Allow more than two bounces before control or catch.
