Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking area
  • Goal with goalkeeper
  • Multiple balls
Setup
  1. Area: 40x45 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One goal at one end of the area
  3. Group: 2 blue outfield players, one server starting on the base line next to the goal and one attacker starting in a line opposite the server
  4. GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the goal
  5. Equipment: Cones marking the 40x45 yard perimeter, plus one additional cone placed in front of the attacker's starting position, and multiple balls stacked at the server's position
Instructions
  1. The server plays a pass to the attacker opposite.
  2. The attacker receives the ball and takes one or two touches to maneuver around the cone.
  3. The attacker then takes a shot at goal, aiming for accuracy and speed.
  4. Focus on striking the ball cleanly and hitting the target.
  5. After shooting, players switch roles, rotating between servers and attackers.
Coaching Points
  • Positivity in approach.
  • Clear communication amongst players.
  • Keep your head up to observe.
  • Deliver high-quality passes.
  • Ensure a quality finish.
  • Practice repeatedly for improvement.
  • Apply correct striking technique.
  • Use inventive plays as an attacker.
  • Positioning and distance of support players matter.
  • Ensure the shot hits the target.
  • Try different finishing techniques such as driving, chipping, or placing.
  • Follow up on rebounds.
  • Use both feet effectively.
  • Evaluate decision-making and execution.
  • Stop play when needed to demonstrate critical points.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the space to increase pressure.
2. Limit the touches to one before the shot.
3. Add a defender to challenge the attackers.
Make it easier:
1. Allow attackers to take additional touches before shooting.
2. Remove the cone to simplify movement.
3. Enlarge the goal area for easier targeting.
