Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones
  • Two mini goals
  • Soccer balls
Setup
  1. Area: 20x20 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: Two mini goals positioned side by side at one end of the area
  3. Team Red: 1 red outfield player starts lined up at the opposite end of the area, facing their designated mini goal
  4. Team Blue: 1 blue outfield player starts lined up at the opposite end of the area next to the red line, facing their designated mini goal
  5. Equipment: Cones marking the 20x20 yard area, soccer balls placed in the center of the area for players to collect
Instructions
  1. The first player in each line collects a ball from the center.
  2. Players dribble towards their designated goal.
  3. Players score by getting the ball into their mini goal.
  4. Once they score, players return and tag the next in line.
  5. The line with the most balls in their goal wins.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage constant communication and support among players.
  • Focus on ball control and varying dribbling speeds.
  • Foster enjoyment and ensure the activity is age-appropriate.
  • Highlight spatial awareness within the playing area.
  • Promote usage of different parts of the foot to maneuver the ball.
  • Let the game naturally guide learning without heavy intervention.
  • Ensure all players are actively participating.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Increase the size of the playing area.
2. Use only non-dominant foot for dribbling.
3. Introduce an opposition player to apply pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Decrease the size of the playing area.
2. Allow players to run without a ball initially.
3. Use larger goals to increase scoring ease.
