Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Balls
  • Cones
  • Goal
Setup
  1. Area: 44x36 yard area marked with cones, aligned with the 18-yard box.
  2. Goals: One goal at one end of the area.
  3. Team Red: 2 red outfield players (defenders) start inside the area with the ball at the feet of one of them.
  4. Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on the goal line of the goal at the end of the area.
  5. Team Blue: 3 blue outfield players (attackers) start lined up along the baseline of the area, opposite the goal.
  6. Equipment: Cones marking the 44x36 yard area boundary, one ball starting at the feet of a defender.
Instructions
  1. The defender passes the ball to one of the attackers.
  2. As the ball is played, defenders quickly position themselves.
  3. Attackers engage in a 3v2 situation with a 10-second limit to shoot.
  4. Emphasize speed and realistic gameplay.
  5. Reset once the ball becomes inactive or a goal is scored.
Coaching Points
  • Accuracy over power in striking.
  • Maintain positive attitude.
  • Effective communication between teammates.
  • Proper shooting technique.
  • Keep head up to observe targets.
  • Ensure continuous ball movement.
  • Dynamic off-the-ball movement.
  • Deliver quality passes.
  • Focus on shot accuracy and finishing quality.
  • Early decisions on shooting distance.
  • Evaluate defender positions when planning attacks.
  • Change pace and attack angles under pressure.
  • Adapt tempo to match game demands.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the time limit to 8 seconds for more pressure.
2. Add a third defender for increased defensive pressure.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the time limit to 12 seconds.
2. Allow attackers to start closer to the halfway line.
