Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Soccer balls
  • Cones for playing area and end zones
Setup
  1. Area: 20x15 yard area marked with cones, divided by a halfway line at 10 yards, with an end zone at each end.
  2. Team Red: 2 red outfield players start in their own half of the area.
  3. Team Blue: 2 blue outfield players start in their own half of the area.
  4. Coach: 1 grey coach positioned at the halfway line to deliver the starting ball and reset play when needed.
  5. Equipment: cones marking the 20x15 yard playing area, cones marking the halfway line at 10 yards, and cones marking the end zone boundary at each end; soccer balls at the coach's position.
Instructions
  1. The coach delivers the ball to one team to start.
  2. Teams must complete a minimum of 5 passes before attempting to score by stopping the ball in the opponent's end zone.
  3. If the ball crosses the sideline, the coach resets the play.
  4. Play is intense, lasting only a few minutes before rotating teams.
Coaching Points
  • Encourage constant communication.
  • Develop a good first touch.
  • Keep heads up to assess options.
  • Move the ball into effective spaces.
  • Avoid straight-line passes.
  • Focus on pass quality—accuracy, timing, and disguise.
  • Select appropriate passing technique and option.
  • Create space and adjust movement to receive passes.
  • Be aware of passing opportunities.
  • Demonstrate good angles and support distances.
  • Maintain effective communication among teammates.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce pass limit before scoring.
2. Make the playing area smaller.
3. Increase game duration for endurance.
Make it easier:
1. Increase pass limit before scoring.
2. Widen the playing area.
3. Allow unlimited touches before passing.
