Equipment, Setup & Instructions
Equipment
  • Cones for marking the playing area
  • Small goals
  • Supply of balls
Setup
  1. Area: 40x30 yard area marked with cones
  2. Goals: One small goal centred on each of the four sides of the area
  3. Team Red: 4 red outfield players start spaced evenly across the area
  4. Team Red GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on one of the four goal lines
  5. Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players start spaced evenly across the area
  6. Team Blue GK: 1 yellow goalkeeper positioned on another of the four goal lines
  7. Equipment: Cones marking the 40x30 area, one small goal on each of the four sides, and a supply of balls stacked in each goal
Instructions
  1. Start the game with both teams trying to score in any of the four goals.
  2. Once a team scores, that goal becomes unavailable for them.
  3. The first team to score in all four goals wins.
  4. Encourage players to dribble when in 1v1 situations.
Coaching Points
  • Maintain good angles and distances of support.
  • Focus on close ball control.
  • Ensure head-up play to increase awareness.
  • Make quick decisions: dribble, pass, shoot, or shield.
  • Use acceleration to exploit spaces.
  • Improve communication with teammates.
  • Work on reversing direction quickly.
  • Execute correct techniques under pressure.
  • Develop the ability to dribble using both feet.
  • Create effective shooting opportunities.
  • Enhance spatial awareness through intelligent movement.
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Limit the number of touches each player can take.
2. Introduce a defender who stays in the goal area.
3. Increase the field size for added physical demand.
Make it easier:
1. Increase the number of players per team.
2. Allow scoring in any goal without closing any.
3. Reduce the playing area for less running.
