Equipment
- Balls
- Two Goals
- Cones for 40x30 yard area and halfway line
- Two Goalkeepers
Setup
- Area: 40x30 yard area marked with cones, including a halfway line
- Goals: One goal at each end of the area
- Team Red: 4 red outfield players split into two groups of 2, one group positioned near each goal to defend
- Team Red GK: 2 yellow goalkeepers, one positioned in each goal
- Team Blue: 4 blue outfield players lined up along the halfway line
- Coach: 1 grey coach positioned off the pitch at the halfway line, rolling the ball into one half to start each attack
- Equipment: Cones marking the corners and halfway line of the 40x30 yard area, plus balls for the coach to roll in
Instructions
- Attacking team decides on the attack format: 1v1, 2v1, 3v2, or 4v2.
- Award points based on attack format: 1v1 (5 points), 2v1 (2 points), 3v2 (4 points), 4v2 (3 points).
- After scoring, attackers immediately turn and attack the opposite goal.
- If the attackers miss or the defenders pass back to the coach, the attack ends.
- Continue until all balls are used, then switch roles between teams.

- Decision-making on when to dribble, pass, or shoot

- Quick transitions between attacks
- Effective communication amongst attackers
- Quality technical moves to beat defenders
- Accelerate effectively when needed
- Use of both feet to maintain control

- Encourage positive, clever play
- Precision in finishing against the goalkeeper
- Ability to adjust direction when challenged
Variations
Make it harder:
1. Reduce the number of attackers in higher formats (e.g., 2v1 reduced to 2v2).
2. Increase the playing area to force more movement.
3. Decrease the time attackers have to attack before defenders can close them down.
Make it easier:
1. Increase attackers relative to defenders in lower formats (e.g., 1v1 changed to 2v1).
2. Decrease the playing area to focus more on close control.
3. Allow attackers a free first touch before defenders engage.
